Small repairs to full refurbishments

Show the job once. Get the right trades to bid.

REFUR.BID handles anything from a small repair to a larger refurbishment. It identifies the appropriate trade, prepares the brief and lets relevant professionals bid remotely — builders, plumbers, electricians, gardeners, carpenters and more.

Two ways to post

Pick the one that fits. If you are not sure, AI will suggest — and you decide.

£2.50 to post (demonstration price)

Post a Quick Task

A leaking tap, a fence panel, a door that sticks. Show it with photos, a short video or a voice note. AI drafts the task, picks the trade and prepares a concise brief; qualified tradespeople bid.

Guided capture · itemised bids

Plan a Refurbishment Project

A kitchen, a bathroom, a whole flat. Guided evidence capture, a structured specification you approve, builder questions, itemised bids you can compare and a full audit trail.

How it works

The same record of the job, from first description through to a reviewed finish.

  1. Step 1

    Show the job once

Text, voice, photos or video — in the app, nothing saved to your phone's gallery.

  2. Step 2

    The right trade

AI suggests the job type and trade, with qualification warnings. You confirm or change it.

  3. Step 3

    The right trades bid

Only tradespeople approved for that trade can bid, each spending a bid credit.

  4. Step 4

    Compare, award, review

Compare price, availability and reviews. Both sides review after the work.

Fair for both sides

  • Customers pay a small posting fee per published job (£2.50 Quick Task, £5.00 Trade Job). It is not a subscription and not payment for the work.
  • Tradespeople browse for free and spend one bid credit per bid. A credit comes back if the job is cancelled, removed or its scope changes.
  • Reviews are two-sided: only the customer and the awarded tradesperson can write one, and only after both confirm the job is complete. They stay hidden until both have reviewed.
  • REFUR.BID is in public beta. Prices shown are sample prices and real payment processing is not enabled.

Important limits

REFUR.BID is not a survey. AI suggestions are recommendations, never certification: it does not certify structural, gas, electrical, asbestos or fire safety, and a remote quotation is not a contract. Regulated work needs suitably qualified, registered people.

Remote quotes for UK homes, from small jobs to refurbishments

Handyman, plumbing and carpentry quotes

Post a small building job with a few photographs or a short video and compare handyman, plumbing, carpentry or gardening quotes without waiting in for a site visit.

Building quotations from photographs and video

AI turns what you show into a draft job specification. You review and correct it, so every tradesperson quotes against the same description.

Compare builder bids for refurbishment

For a larger refurbishment, compare itemised remote builder quotes side by side on price, start date, assumptions and exclusions. A remote quotation is not a contract.
